We ended up making a rope swing to play in Guadeloupe river and it was awesome! No pictures of this though.
Both meals in Blanco we had dinner at this restaurant. Here is a picture of us in front of it with one of the owners, Arturo.

And here's another picture from inside Hacienda el Charro. Really fantastic restaurant by the way!

We saw a great deal of wildlife in the hill country when we are approaching Austin. Here are a number pictures of them.

Turtle re-location program!!!

Here's some pictures of an old Texico station in Driftwood Texas. Driftwood is just a little outside of Austin. Tad's bike is named "zatara" which was the name given to Edmond Dauntes in the Count of Monte Christo. It means Driftwood.

Then we got into Austin. The land of milk and honey!

Our 1st stop in Austin was at Whole foods. We confirmed that cross country bike trips should not be fueled by Whole Foods. $125 of food consumed in a sitting!

We decided that we were going to hit up the thrift store. We put on a bunch of mustaches on our fingers and then go out on the town.
Here are some of the pictures of the shenanigans that occurred the night of the 11th!

On April 12 we decided to go out and see the state capital in Austin.

As we are all bikers it's obligatory that we see Lance Armstrong's bike shop. Here's a picture of us out in front of Mellow Johnny's.

We then went to go see Barton Springs. It was unfortunately closed for cleaning the time that we went. So we decided to lounge out on this rock.

We received a tip that Thursday Night Social Ride is an amazing spectacle! Thanks for he advice Ande! Here's some of the pictures/video showing the 500ish participants. Caley took a picture with the guy who started it.

The ride was crazy...none of us had ever experienced anything quite like Thursday Night Social Ride!
On Friday the 13th Tad ventured out to have pancakes with Ande who we had seen earlier at Whole Foods. Ande also gave us the tip on Thursday night social ride.

A little known fact about robots is that the more attractive they are the better the culinary treats they produce!

So these are the pancakes that my comrades missed out on. They were fantastic!!! Apples, cinnamon, blackberries, agave, honey...thanks for the food and great company Ande!!!

Robots enjoying coffee captured in the picture below.

Unfortunately all good things must come to an end. So we had to leave Austin. Here is our final departure picture... we're going to miss you old wrinkle fingered Johnny!!!!!!!!!! You helped to make our trip fantastic!

Here's a picture of relaxation on the night of Friday the 13th. We camped in Buescher State Park.

Caley, Jess, and I have to routinely ask ourselves if this is real life. Carpe diem!!!!!

Tad, I can see the wheels turning, but I really don't think a double decker bike like the one on the social ride video is suitable for a cross country trip. Lie down till the feeling passes. :) XOX
